In collaboration with ICTU, our team developed a hybrid tool that is both physical and digital, to help teenagers aged 13–18 navigate government tasks independently. We focused on young people whose parents struggle with the Dutch language, leaving them without guidance when dealing with important responsibilities like applying for an ID or health insurance.
I learned how to design for clarity and independence breaking down complex systems into simple, actionable steps for users who can’t rely on help from home.
I contributed to the wireframes, login flows, interactive task cards, and Maze usability testing. Together, we transformed complex government information into clear, age-based checklists with gamified elements and a physical poster that serves as a daily reminder at home.
